MOUNT JULIET CONRAD

Overview
One of Ireland’s most sophisticated retreats, the Mount Juliet Conrad estate occupies an enviable position in the sprawling countryside of County Kilkenny, Ireland. Set within 1,500 acres of gardens and woodland, the Mount Juliet Conrad is one of the country’s finest sporting estates and offers an array of activity or relaxation according to guests’ requirements.

Guests can choose from the classically luxurious accommodation housed at the Mount Juliet House, overlooking the River Nore, or the more contemporary Hunters Yard, the converted former stables that overlook the world-class golf course.

Mount Juliet ConradRecreation and Relaxation
A multitude of activities await guests, from horse riding, clay pigeon shooting or golf for the active, to indulgent spa treatments and country walks for those who prefer a more relaxing break. The estate’s new state of the art equestrian centre boasts some of the finest riding facilities in Ireland including an Olympic sized ménage, show jumping arena and cross country facility. The Jack Nicklaus signature golf course played host to the 2002 World Golf Championship and was praised by world-renowned golf players.

Food lovers will be spoilt for choice at the Mount Juliet Conrad with dining options ranging from the formal Lady Helen Dining Room to the more relaxed Kendalls restaurant. The former is the epitome of grand country living offering fresh seasonal ingredients, much of which is sourced from the estate, whilst the latter is a more comfortable, intimate setting serving modern variations of classic Irish dishes.

The Mount Juliet Conrad is an exceptional place to visit at any time of the year, but in summer the estate comes into its own when the gardens are in full bloom and the numerous outdoor activities can be enjoyed.

Golfers wanting to pit their skills against the championship course will enjoy the weekend packages that include complimentary loan of clubs and green fees.

The estate regularly holds masterclasses in wine tasting, cooking, angling and golf with special overnight stays included.  Forthcoming events include a two day angling course on 14 and 15 July with renowned expert, Noel Molloy, who will guide guests through the skills required to enjoy fishing for Wild Atlantic Salmon and Brown Trout.  Lady golfers can take advantage of expert tuition from PGA Professional Sean Cotter when he hosts two masterclasses on 7 and 8 July and 28 and 29 September.
