OVERVIEW
The latest in designer chic, Conrad Bali Resort & Spa embodies contemporary style with timeless tradition. For those who travel with an environmental conscience, Conrad Bali Resort & Spa has recently been awarded the prestigious Green Globe Certificate for its commitment to operating at the world’s highest hotel ecological standards.

LOCATION
This luxurious resort and spa is set within 6.8 hectares of manicured tropical gardens and lagoons complete with cascading waterfalls and pools that gracefully descend onto the hotel's wide expanse of beach and protected bay. Located on the southern coast of Bali, it is conveniently situated only 10 km (6.5 miles) from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. The resort embraces contemporary Balinese architecture and each of the 298 guestrooms and suites overlook the Indian Ocean toward the island of Nusa Penida. The impressive drive up to the hotel entrance rises up three levels, passing a waterfall flowing from the hotel's open lobby. On arrival in the hotel’s lobby the sunken lounge allows spectacular views over the Indian Ocean.

RECREATION
The Conrad Bali Resort & Spa provides a wide range of amenities and activities including a 33-metre infinity pool, lagoon pool, children’s facilities, 25-metre spa swimming pool, fitness club, daily yoga, two floodlit tennis courts not to mention the latest technology. SPA
The award winning Conrad Jiwa Spa offers a wide selection of aromatherapy treatments that awaken and indulge the five basic senses. Located in a secluded compound, Jiwa Spa features 12 treatment rooms and suites, a jacuzzi, cold dip, sauna and steam and reflexology lounge. SUKU - is set in the heart of the resort with sweeping panoramic views of the Indian Ocean. This open concept restaurant serves island cuisine in an al fresco setting. Start the day with a buffet selection or à la carte breakfast; linger casually for a tempting brunch or assuage your appetite with an exotic lunch.
EIGHT DEGREES SOUTH - Bali is located 8 degrees south of the equator-hence the name of the open-air beach-side restaurant with alang-alang balés and a central open kitchen. Lunches include delicious BBQ grill cuisine and a variety of salads, gourmet pizzas, sandwiches and Asian specialties. In the evening, sea breezes create a romantic ambience.
SPICE - This harlequin of ethnic cuisine is devoted to overt culinary pleasure and presents a true feast for the senses based on recipes from the Middle, near and Far East. Located on the third floor with breathtaking views of the Balinese water garden and the Indian Ocean, the restaurant with its understated and traditionally inspired interior décor, offers fresh ingredients combined with meticulous preparation and presentation to make Spice a distinctive gourmet experience.
 
 

BALI ARTS FESTIVAL
Just 10km from the popular Kuta beach area, thousands come to see the most accomplished musicians and dancers perform in Indonesia's cultural event of the year - Pesta Kesenian Bali, the Bali Arts Festival.

The spectacular opening procession features seven types of complex and vibrant Balinese music ensembles, dance, traditional costume, floats and giant ogoh-ogoh dolls. It begins in the villages where local groups from Bali's 21 regions vie for the chance to bring their brand of traditional art to the capital. It is said that everyone in Bali is an artist and the standard and diversity of the island's cultural life is internationally recognised.

Entertainment during the month includes traditional and modern music, dance and theatre from both the islands, puppet shows, parades and various competitions (food, flowers, coconuts...). Most events are held at the Werdi Budaya Arts Centre, a classic example of traditional architecture which houses a 6000-seat amphitheatre. The Bali Arts Festival runs until 16 July.
