THE
CONRAD HONG KONG UNDERGOES MULTI MILLION DOLLAR
RESTORATION
The
completion of a US$20 million renovation inspired
by classical Chinese design has cemented the
Conrad Hong Kong’s position as one of
the most luxurious hotels in the heart of the
business district. All of the hotel’s
facilities have undergone a transformation,
with guest rooms now featuring the latest in-room
technology positioned on traditional Chinese
laquered cabinets and desks. The lavish public
areas now feature beautifully hand-painted gold
columns in a cherry blossom motif. The refurbishment
also touched the hotel’s famed Nicholini’s
restaurant, name “Best Italian Restaurant
Abroad” by Italy’s Commissione Centrale.
A new chef, Sandro Falbo, heads up the kitchen
and brings extensive international culinary
experience with him to further enhance the dining
experience at this popular venue.

THE
CONRAD BALI RESORT & SPA SUPPORTS GREEN
SEA TURTLE CONSERVATION
The
Conrad Bali Resort & Spa has introduced
an initiative aimed at engaging its younger
guests with the local environment. The hotel’s
Turtle Adoption Programme supports local conservation
of sea turtles and involves rehabilitation and
release back into the sea. Green Sea Turtle
fishing, increased coastal tourism and marine
pollution are a growing threat to this endangered
species. During the tropical season, the Conrad
Bali Resort & Spa encourages guests to make
a donation to the programme and to personally
release a turtle into the ocean. Younger guests
are invited to see the turtles being fed each
day in the Turtle Pond.
